As you may have realized, there are many article submitting software tools all around offering a completely automated article submission to hundreds of article directories for massive exposure and traffic and hundreds of backlinks, which really sounds good. Most of the available software promises that “if you can click a mouse, you can get loads of traffic”; I think this is an overstatement to say the least.

There’s no wonder that submitting quality articles to top article directories does provide traffic and valuable backlinks altogether, but, there is little benefit submitting the same article to hundreds of article directories.

Let me expand on this.

After the change of Google’s algorithms to assess the relevancy and the measure of duplicate content, there is little benefit on submitting the same articles to hundreds of directories, as only one will be indexed and the rest will be “sandboxed”, letting the dubious benefit of getting some backlinks. If a link is added to a page that the search engines are unaware of and has no human traffic… well then the link is a waste. To ensure all your promotion efforts are worthwhile I highly recommend that you create a system that notifies Google and others that a link exists.

As search engines become smarter, content producers are driving the attention towards producing articles using the Latent Semantic Analysis technology. In short, LSA stands for producing relevant content without the duplication issues.

Back to our main subject of using software to submit articles to multiple article directories and assuming that automation submission is possible, there remains the problem of duplicate content.
